Learning Week

The Learning Week comprised a multi-week event, aimed at equipping doctoral candidates with fundamental knowledge from various disciplines within the interdisciplinary pool of Principal Investigators (PIs). Led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Nehring, Prof. Dr. Sascha Schanze, Prof. Dr. Sarah Dannemann, Prof. Dr. Gunnar Friege, Prof. Dr. Christian Wartena, Prof. Dr. Kathrin Thiele, Prof. Dr. Reinhard Hochmuth, Prof. Dr. Eirini Ntoutsi, and Prof. Dr. Ralph Ewerth, the following courses took place:

  • “Core concepts of chemistry education” by Prof. Dr. Andreas Nehring and Prof. Dr. Sascha Schanze on June 4, 2021
  • “Core concepts of biology and physics education – a dialogue” by Prof. Dr. Sarah Dannemann and Prof. Dr. Gunnar Friege on June 10, 2021
  • “Natural Language Processing – Current technologies and applications” by Prof. Dr. Christian Wartena on June 15, 2021
  • “Core concepts of math education and the transition from school to higher education” by Prof. Dr. Kathrin Thiele and Prof. Dr. Reinhard Hochmuth on June 21, 2021
  • “Fairness and Bias in Machine Learning” by Prof. Dr. Eirini Ntoutsi on June 22, 2021
  • “Visual Analytics” by Prof. Dr. Ralph Ewerth on February 10, 2023
